The Center was buzzing with people enjoying and taking advantage of the so many events taking place. The day began early with the OU nurses arriving and our members getting ready for the OGAF Open Office.
The staff was busy seeing that all things were working well. There was a class of some kind in the Timothy/Cindy Room. There were Pool Players in the Rec Room, card players were already playing, and the Rams Room was full of exercisers… see what I mean by busy?
When the 2nd exercise class was over, volunteers started flipping the room for the next big event. I do mean BIG. It was our annual Thanksgiving Pot Luck: turkey, ham and all the trimmings. The sponsor was Grace Hospice and Melissa Powell. What a feast it was! One gentleman said he ran out of plate before he got through the line. 115 people were counted, but I’m guessing there were a few who did not get into the count. Anyway, we were bulging at the seams and had a great time being together as a community.
Remember the Center will be closed Thursday and Friday of next week, Thanksgiving is that special time of the year to enjoy the day and count your blessing of family and friends and the special time together. Aside note, the Center will be closed for the Christmas holiday December 24th and 25th.
