Opioid-Awareness Seminar

In place of OGA’s monthly event, the Center is hosting an opioid-awareness seminar. There is truly an epidemic of these drugs in our country today with 34 unintentional overdose deaths each month in Oklahoma alone.

Seniors are the largest group in the country today to suffer opioid drug overdoses. We must become aware of what we need to know to escape falling victim to overuse of these drugs. They can be truly disastrous.

Educating ourselves about this epidemic will prepare us to help a family member, a friend, and even ourselves.  No one sets out to become dependent on opioids, but we know it happens.  Never say, it could never happen to me, my family or my friends.

Mark your calendars so you don’t miss this and spread the word to your family members, to your friends, to your church. Come and help us pack the Rams Room.

Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.

The Seminar is presented by OSU Masters Wellness service and RSVP, with INCOG support.
